一天，一个很富有家庭的爸爸带着儿子去乡下旅行，目的是为了让儿子看看穷人是怎么生活的。
他们在一个被认为很穷的家庭的农场度过了几个日夜。
在回家的路上，父亲问儿子：“这次旅行怎么样？”
儿子回答说：“很好啊！”
父亲问：“你看到穷人是怎么生活了吗？”
儿子说：“当然看到了！”
父亲说：“那么,告诉我，你从这次旅行中学到了什么？”
儿子答：
“我看到我们家有一条狗而已，而他们有四条。”
“我们家花园中央有一个池子，而他们有一条看不到尽头的小溪。”
“我们花园里挂有灯笼，而他们却有满天的星星。”
“我们家的露台只延伸到前院，而他们却到达地平线。”
“我们有一小块地，而他们拥有的地我们看不到尽头。”
“我们只有几个仆人服务我们，而他们却可以开心地服务他人。”
“我们的食物必须用钱买，而他们除了家畜与自己种植的菜，还有满山的食物呢！”
“我们必须把房子四周建起围墙来保护自己，而他们有许多朋友保护自己。”
听完后这些后，男孩的父亲沉默了。
然后，儿子又加了一句：
“爸爸，谢谢你！谢谢你向我展示了咱们是多么地贫穷！”
One day,a father of a very wealthy family took
his son on a trip to the
country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the
farm of what would be considered a very poor family.On their return from their
trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
"It
was great,Dad."
"Did
you see how poor people live?" the father asked.
"Oh yeah," said the son.
"So,tell
me,what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.
The son answered, "I saw that we have one dog and they had
four. We have a pool that reaches to the
middle of our garden, and
they have a creek that has no end. We
have imported lanterns in our garden, and
they have the stars at night. Our patio
reaches to the front yard, and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on, and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our
property to protect us; they have
friends to protect them."
The boy's father was speechless.
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, "Thanks,Dad,for
showing me how poor we are."
